RESTAURANTS
The region is known for its delicious wine, fish, pizza and prochetta. Be sure to try local dishes such as Arrosticini, locally made salami (Ventricina) or deep-fried fish or calamari (Fritti Misto-Fritti Calamari). You can also taste Abruzzo's wine at one of the local wineries (Cantina).
In every village, on the coast or in the city Vasto, everywhere you will find nice typical Italian restaurants.
Furthermore, the local "festa" or celebrations of Saints are well worth a visit. You can enjoy the music and atmosphere and taste the typical dishes and drinks of Abruzzo.
